New Jersey family law attorney Matthew Gerber is a Senior Attorney at The Williams Law Group, LLC. Matthew has a broad range and vast experience litigating complex issues throughout the State of New Jersey surrounding family and matrimonial cases, including child custody, parenting time, relocation, child support, alimony, asset distribution, domestic violence and more. Matthew has appeared at countless matrimonial and domestic violence trials. He is skilled in matters of high net worth where business valuations or other significant assets require forensic accountants and where witness testimony may be a necessity. He is equally proficient handling trials concerning child custody and relocation.
Naturally, not every matter is heavily contested with an expectation of trial, and as such, Mr. Gerber is a seasoned negotiator, dedicated to reaching fair settlements whenever cases can be resolved without the need for litigation. In this regard, Mr. Gerber has also served as a volunteer for the court’s Early Settlement Panel (ESP) program, helping litigants resolve their divorce cases.
Through his years of practice, Matthew has assisted clients in municipal court matters all throughout New Jersey and participated in a wide variety of civil litigation including personal injury and business disputes, all of which compliment his ability to help clients successfully navigate the complexities of family law litigation. During his time as a Law Clerk in the Superior Court, Matthew served as a mediator in small claims and landlord – tenant court. Matthew uses his knowledge of other areas of law to assist clients to reach a rightful resolution to their family law related cases.
Matthew earned his Juris Doctor from Hofstra University, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Villanova University, with a minor in Spanish. After graduating from law school, Matthew served as law clerk to the Honorable Ronald E. Hoffman, J.S.C. in the Ocean County Superior Court in the Chancery Division, Family Part.
