Allison Williams: Alimony is payment made from a supporting spouse to the supported spouse in the concept of the divorce. It can be either paid directly to the person receiving the support or it can be made to a third party such as a utility company or a mortgage lender. Alimony comes in many different forms in New Jersey and to understand if you should be paying support or entitled to receive support, you should consult an attorney.
