New Jersey family law attorney Sara E. Kucsan Haarmann is a Partner at the Williams Law Group, LLC and devotes the majority of her litigation to Family Law. Sara has devoted 100% of her professional practice to family law and related matters, including all aspects of divorce, separation, custody and parenting time, spousal and child support, equitable distribution of property, prenuptial agreements, mediation, arbitration, grandparents’ rights, adoptions, domestic violence, post-judgment matters and appeals.

“Sara is a wonderful lady who was and still continues to be the biggest help when it comes to getting custody rights of my son! She is very prompt and professional and always has your best interests in mind as she should!! I would recommend her to anyone!”

– Enrriquillo

Sara understands that your divorce and family-related matters are unique and individual, and that this is an emotional and trying time in your life. She advocates for all her clients equally and aims to help her clients understand and cope with their individual matters.

After law school, Sara served as Judicial Law Clerk for the Presiding Judge of the Middlesex County Superior Court of New Jersey, Chancery Division – Family Part, the Honorable Deborah J. Venezia, P.J.F.P., where she became familiar with divorce and adoption matters. Additionally, she has fought for clients before the Appellate Division, United States District Court, and the New Jersey Supreme Court.

Sara received her Juris Doctorate (JD) and Master of Laws (LLM) degrees from Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School and her Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice, with a minor in Legal Studies, from Rochester Institute of Technology. While attending law school, Sara served as a student attorney, intern, and research assistant, gaining extensive knowledge in human trafficking policies and matters involving juvenile offenders, worked at the Office of Public Defenders as a guardian ad litem, and was trained in mediation skills.

Sara prides herself on her honest approach with her clients, on focusing on the best interests of the children and working towards a swift and cost-conscience resolution, with the ability to zealously advocate and argue for her clients. Sara understands that all clients are different and require a unique approach to their matter depending on the specific facts of each individual case. While Sara is a proponent of mediation and amicable settlement, Sara has trial experience in the New Jersey Superior Courts and is capable of effectively bringing a case to trial.

Sara volunteers her time to serve as an Early Settlement Panelist in Middlesex County, wherein she assists parties in pending divorce cases in reaching a resolution by providing her insight and making recommendations regarding potential settlement. Sara has also been appointed by the Superior Court in numerous counties to serve as a guardian ad litem (GAL) for adults and children.
