Laurie J. Madziar, Esq.

Biography

Laurie Madziar has joined the Williams Law Group as an Associate Attorney. Laurie has devoted her practice exclusively to matrimonial law and all family law related matters including, but not limited to, Adoption. Ms. Madziar has been a lecturer on family and adoption law topics. She has even lectured to attorneys through the Institute for Continuing Legal Education. She was on a panel of distinguished attorneys and judges covering exclusively Adoption issues. She has also contributed to articles for the New Jersey Family Lawyer. Adoption law is her passion and this passion is clearly passed on to her clients through her empathy and kindness.

Ms. Madziar has provided pro bono services to clients of Project Self Sufficiency, Legal Services of Northwest Jersey and the Women’s Center at CCM. She was awarded an Equal Justice Medal in conjunction with her pro bono work with Legal Services.

Ms. Madziar earned her Juris Doctorate Degree in May 2003 from Rutgers School of Law in Newark, New Jersey and received her undergraduate degree from Rutgers University in New Brunswick. She is a member of both the New Jersey and New York bars. While attending law school, Ms. Madziar was elected to serve as a member on the Rutgers Moot Court Board. She was also a published member of the Women’s Rights Law Reporter, which is the oldest legal periodical in the United States focusing exclusively on the field of women’s rights law. During her third year at Rutgers School of Law, Ms. Madziar was appointed as Managing Editor of the Women’s Rights Law Reporter.

Our Attorneys have volunteered to join the Young Professionals Lawyers, Accountants, and Financial Professionals Committee of Eva’s Village. Eva’s Village is a private, non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization located in Paterson, New Jersey. Eva’s began as a soup kitchen in 1982 and has grown into a 3-block campus with more than 20 programs, including the Hope Residence, a shelter and addiction treatment program for mothers with children; a culinary school; a medical and dental clinic; an expansive community kitchen; transitional housing; a recovery community center; and much more.
